Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about your path to vitality
These are the questions men ask me most about Taoist bodywork for men's vitality, near Asheville, NC, and online. If yours isn't here, send me a text. I'm happy to answer.
Getting Started
Send a short text with your first name and a sentence or two about what brings you here. We'll set up a discovery call at a time that works for both of us, talk through your concerns, and see which session or program fits you best.
Completely. Reaching out about something so personal takes courage. You can share as much or as little as you're ready to, and many men tell me the hardest part was simply sending that first text.
That's exactly what the discovery call is for: an honest, no-pressure conversation about what you're looking for and whether my approach is right for you.
Of course. Write to loraalawarcoach@gmail.com. A few clear questions are perfect.
Many men travel here for a Male Rejuvenation Day or a multi-day retreat, which fits a lot of work into a short visit. You can also start with online coaching from home.
I don't have referrals to offer, since my work combines several traditions I've trained in over 15 years. Online coaching is available wherever you live.
Karsai Nei Tsang is a traditional Taoist bodywork practice for the lower abdomen, groin, and pelvic area. Slow, focused work releases long-held tension and encourages healthy circulation and energy flow. I learned it from Karsai master Khun Ni in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
It focuses specifically on the abdomen and pelvic area and on men's vitality, rather than general relaxation. It's a therapeutic practice, combined in my sessions with Chi Nei Tsang, foot reflexology, and other traditional techniques.
It shouldn't. You may feel some tenderness where tension is held, similar to a deep massage, but never sharp pain. I work at your pace and adjust whenever you ask.
These are gentle, non-invasive practices. Some men feel mild soreness or an emotional release afterward, which usually passes quickly. Please tell me about any hernia, recent surgery, blood clots, implanted devices, or other conditions, so I can adapt the session or recommend waiting.
No. My work is therapeutic bodywork for men's health, and no sexual, erotic, or body-to-body services are offered or implied. I'm also not a sexual surrogate. If that's what you're looking for, I'm not the right practitioner for you.
Many men wonder about this at first. Most tell me it actually feels easier: there's no competition or pressure, just a respectful, professional space. The discovery call is a good chance to see whether you feel comfortable.
I'm a certified Healing Tao USA Qigong Instructor, trained with Michael Winn in Asheville, and a certified Universal Healing Tao practitioner, trained in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I also trained in Karsai Nei Tsang with Khun Ni, and in Tok Sen, Gua Sha, and Life Pulse massage. I have 15 years of practice. You can read more on my About page.
We start with a private conversation about your health history, concerns, and goals. I explain what we'll do and answer your questions, then begin the bodywork, tailored to you. Afterward there's time to rest, and I teach you simple practices to continue at home.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Draping is available and used as needed, depending on the work and your comfort. Just let me know what you prefer, and your privacy is always respected.
Sessions run from 1 hour (Prostate Wellness) to 2 hours (Karsai Vitality) and up to a 6-hour Male Rejuvenation Day. Retreats last 1.5 to 5 days.
It's different for every man. Some come once, and others prefer a series or a retreat. We'll talk about what makes sense for you on the discovery call.
That's completely normal. The work is therapeutic, not arousing, and it focuses on releasing tension and supporting circulation. Many men notice changes in the days and weeks afterward rather than during the session.
Yes. I'll teach you simple self-massage, breathing, pelvic floor, and energy practices that take about 10–20 minutes a day. Home practice is where much of the lasting benefit comes from.
Sessions and retreats are one-on-one, for privacy and focus. Later on, partner education sessions are possible, where I show your partner how to support your practice at home.
Everyone is different. Some men notice changes such as better morning erections, more sensation, more confidence, or less anxiety after one or a few sessions. For others it takes longer. Consistent home practice makes the biggest difference.
No ethical practitioner can. What I promise is my full attention, honest guidance, and practices tailored to you. If something isn't working, we'll reassess together.
No. Keep taking your medication as prescribed, and never change or stop a prescription without talking to your doctor. This work complements medical care. It doesn't replace it.
Yes, if you haven't already. Changes in erections can be an early sign of heart, circulation, or hormonal conditions, so a medical check-up is important. Please keep your doctor informed about our work.
Many men with medical conditions still find this work supportive, though it can't reverse nerve damage or structural changes. Tell me about your condition during the discovery call so we can adapt the work safely.
Yes. I teach techniques for regulating arousal, strengthening the pelvic floor, and building body awareness and control. The Taoist Sexual Mastery training is designed for this, and many men work on both PE and erectile concerns together.
Yes. Private one-on-one video coaching is available anywhere in the US. Hands-on bodywork happens in person, but online sessions are ideal for learning Taoist practices, getting personal guidance, and continuing support between visits.
Lodging is included with the Male Rejuvenation Day and all retreats, in the Healing Space: a private, refurbished cottage in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood in East Asheville.
Daily Chi Nei Tsang and Karsai Nei Tsang, combined with other traditional practices depending on the retreat, plus lodging, home-practice instruction, and plenty of time to rest. See the Sessions page for details on each retreat.
A private bedroom beside a stone fireplace wall, a fully equipped kitchen, a private bathroom, the treatment room, and quiet spaces for meditation. Meals aren't included, so bring food or plan for delivery.
About 10–15 minutes by car, close to restaurants and shops, yet peaceful and private.
Yes. Everything we discuss and every session stays between us. I never share client information.
The practice is designed for discretion, with private parking, a private entrance, and appointments scheduled with privacy in mind.
In-person sessions start at $300, and retreats range from $2,300 to $8,000. Online coaching starts at $200. You'll find full details on the Sessions page.
No. Sessions are paid directly.
Yes, for retreats and multi-session packages. We can discuss options on your discovery call.
After the discovery call, a deposit holds your appointment and is applied toward your session. If you need to reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours ahead.
It's an investment, and I understand that. Many men have already spent a lot on approaches that didn't help. Most men who choose this work simply decide their health, confidence, and relationships are worth it. If cost is a concern, let's talk about the options that fit you.
I accept credit and debit cards through Square, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and cash for in-person sessions. Payment details are shared after your discovery call.
